Terms of Service and Privacy Policy Updates

We have updated our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. There is no change to how SyncFiddle works, and no change to our approach. The updates mainly clarify things that were previously only implied.

What changed:

  • Your code stays yours. We now state explicitly that SyncFiddle does not apply or impose any license on the code you post.
  • Because a room can be edited by more than one person, the Terms now note that code in a room may include contributions from multiple authors, and that we do not track who wrote which part.
  • The wording about how long room code is kept has been updated. We aim to keep shared room URLs working for as long as we reasonably can, but retention is not guaranteed, so please keep your own backup of anything important.
  • The steps for requesting deletion of a room are now described in one place.

A short summary of the license points is also available from the Credits button in the bottom right of the editor.
